There’s something infinitely fascinating about watching a man be compulsively unable to refer to a woman in a position of authority by her proper title.
Not “Senator” but “ma’am”
Not “Officer” but “ma’am”
Not “Judge” or “Your Honor” but “ma’am”
I’m not a big fan of these types of authority, but it’s just notable how many (especially white straight) dudes seem to very suddenly develop a problem with them when women have the positions.
FUNNY HOW OFTEN THAT HAPPENS.

That’s why I love Battlestar Galactica: if you’re a ranking officer or politician, regardless of you’re gender, you are addressed as “sir.”
