What?  NO.  FUCK this.   If you listened to the people you’re constantly pressured to trust and respect, and the societal pressures to conform in certain ways make you miserable, and you don’t have enough in you to be an overt rebel in your life, then you deserve to be miserable?   If every bit of your support system might abandon you, turn on you, hurt you, or be unable to protect you from the systemic prejudice hurting you?  You can be damned sure that it’s not your fault if you’re unhappy in the role you’ve been square-pegged into. Privileged, ableist, classist, thoughtless bullshit. Bootstrappy nonsense.   Ugh.
