There actually was an African-American Cap, Isaiah Bradley. His grandson Eli took on the identity of ‘Patriot’ when he was a founding member of the Young Avengers.

Girl-Wonder.org Is Running Contest To Design Original Superheroine!

Note: Our friends over at Girl-Wonder.org are running a little contest over on their site for artists to design their new Facebook header image. I would love for a WoC heroine to win this.  Artists, start your engines, hehe.   I’m actually thinking of going for it myself even though my illustration skills are very, very sketchy.
